Mazzaro's Blog

Behind the Scenes

Posted By:Kurt Cuccaro on 1/6/2010

I would like first to thank our crew for kicking ass this year and putting another great year in the books. Some fun numbers to give you an idea of the craziness behind the scenes.
13,853 lbs. Cheese cut and wrapped in the Cheese department.
Italian Cookies from the bakery, 3838 lbs.
2925 lbs. of Fresh Pasta.
4435 Cannolis
Olives by the pound 2991
4500 pounds of Fresh Roasted Coffee
10,000lbs. of Flour for Bread
34,570lbs. of prepared food in the Deli
1 Semi Truck full of Wine (about 20 pallets)
Even though the store is only open 9am to 6pm things were going on around the clock, bakers, meat cutters, chefs, warehouse men, and many others scurrying about at all hours to make your holiday foods. You never seem to have enough time or space during these times of the year, but things went really smooth and I think customers received faster service than ever before.
This is my first blog so you can expect more info about the store, new products, and anything about food and drink. The only thing I can promise is that my writing and grammar will not improve.

    • After many vacations here my family and I moved to St Petersburg a few months ago from up north. (I think we brought the weather with us!) Mazzaro’s is like a bit of home to us. Everything we had was great. Hope to be a steady customer.

    • We visited your villa on Saturday after Christmas. It was like our private trip to Italy. I looked for St. Joseph's in the bakery and after finding none a young man, seeing my distress told me he would be my St. Joseph since the Bible says that all of us are Saints and his name was Joseph. There are several St. Joseph's in our family too. Great store and everything was wonderful. Thank You. Beth and Dale

    • This last Thursday night we went to your wine tasting. I do not remember when we had a better time. Not only was the wine good but the food you served was great. We met several very nice people there and we all just had a party. I don’t want to miss the next one and will be watching my e-mails for an announcement. CE

    • My husband is not a wine fancier but he did enjoy your wine tasting event as much as I did. The best was the gentleman who was from Italy and was showing wine from his own vineyard.

    • I ran into your store while on a vacation and what a great surprise. I did not want to leave and wish you were closer to my home in Miami. Hopefully some day I will be back.
